Virgil Jones Jr.

Virgil Jones Jr., 68, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023.  He was born July 4, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Virgil and Marie L. (Beavers) Jones.  Virgil served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged.  Virgil was very active in martial arts, skating, playing music and riding in his car stopping to talk to friends.

He is survived by two sons, Virgil L. Jones III and Bryan L. Jones; a daughter, Nicole (Darnell) Cavitt-Benn; brothers, Rickey E. Jones, Mark A. Jones, Bryant Jones and Hershel Beavers; Sister, Elaine Melvin, 15 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Ebonyuwezo M. L. Jones and brothers, Kenneth Jones and Michael Jones.

Visitation is Monday, November 27, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio with military honors.
