Toya R. (Humphrey) Clark

Toya Renee Clark ,age 68, passed away on October 5, 2023 after battling a long illness. Toya was born in Springfield, Ohio on December 8, 1954 the daughter of Janet Banta and Allen Humphrey Sr.  She graduated from Springfield South High School in 1974, and     continued her education in cosmetology school, where she received her license and obtained an instructor’s  license to be able to teach.  She later attended Wright State University where she earned her degree in     business.  After raising her own children, she became a foster mom at Oesterlen Youth Services. Toya was also employed by Oesterlen Youth Services for several years.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Janet (Carter) Banta and father, Allen Humphrey Sr.; two brothers, Hershel Humphrey and Allen Humphrey Jr., as well as a niece, Shaun Dodson, and nephew Edwin Brooks Sr. She is survived by her daughter, LaTasha Clark; son, Marc (Ebony) Clark; granddaughter, TahJaie’ Clark Crowley; a devoted friend, Lester Moore; sisters,      LaVonda (Andrew) Jordan, Sonya (Robert) Crowe, Yvette Mayo, Theresa (Daniel) Tyler and Robin Avery; brothers, Eric (Krystal) Humphrey, Derrick Humphrey, Turand Humphrey and Reggie Robinson; stepsister, Karen (Jessie) Bray and stepbrother, James Walls.

Visitation is Friday, October 13, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. in St. John Missionary Baptist Church.  Burial is Saturday, October 14, 2023 in Ferncliff Cemetery at 9:30 a.m.
