TaShaunna R. Hammond

Ta Shaunna Hammond, 37, of Cincinnati, Ohio departed this life and transitioned into eternal life on Friday, August 7,2020.  She was born to Wanda Hammond, Chester Brigham III and John Staten on October 27, 1982.  She is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandmother, Joyce Hammond; Paternal Grandparents, Jesse and Chester Brigham II; brothers, Sir Chester Brigham and Maurice Strodes of Springfield, OH.
Tea graduated from Springfield North High School in 2001.  She was currently working at the University of Cincinnati Health as a Lab Technician.  Tea was known for being a loving, caring, happy, fun, energetic, entertaining, free spirited, well known, spontaneous person, she knew no strangers!!!  She was adventurous, loved to try new things and enjoyed eating Mexican food.  She had a smile like no other, she also was the “LIFE of the PARTY” and loved to dance!!  She was all about living life to the fullest and had no brakes (insider)!!  She enjoyed spending time with her children, close family and friends.  There was never a dull moment with Tea!!!
Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her children, Iniko (Nadya) Jones of Houston, TX, Aijane’ Bonner, Eric Lewis Jr and Emarie Todd-Hammond of Springfield, OH; Godson, Richland Bryant of Street Port, LA; Sisters, Kendria Hammond, Tiffany (Walter Snead) Brigham, Chelenia (Brandon Eancheff) Brigham, Kiiesha (Aaron) Gatewood, Batina Fultz and Jasmine Clements; Brothers, Robert (Carly) Holtz Sr., Chad Brigham, Chester Brigham IV, Michale Portis and Jahvon Walker; Nieces, Samiya Hammond, Mikenni Portis-Hammond, Londyn, Chadisty, Chazlyn, Chasa’nae and Amela Brigham, Janyla Walker, Suriah Woods, Anessa, Aubriee, Airynn, Ahkra Gatewood and Madison Walton, Aliesha McGary, Journey Denson, Diora Pettiford, Heaven Holtz, Alayah, A’Miracle, and DeVariah Strodes; Nephews, Morgan Walton, Frank Iggess, Robert Holtz Jr, Jayron Clements, Corde and Jacorey Harris; Maternal Grandfather, Kenneth Hammond; Aunts and Uncles, Tyana Johnson, Charles (Tara) Hammond, Kenneth (Jeannie) Hammond and Jocelyn (Ahmarr) Coombs; her children’s fathers, Michel Jones of Evansville, IN, Jarre Bonner of Trotwood, OH, David Cartwright of Dayton, OH, Eric Lewis Sr. of Duluth, GA, and Emmett Todd of Xenia, OH; children’s Godparents, James and Andi Jones and Mignon (Beau) Clay; Special cousins, Ralph, Eddie (Laurel), Brice and Candace Johnson and Jeff and Dominic Marshall.  She also leaves to cherish quite a few great special friends; Norman Brent Jr, Tiersa (Alvin) Cobb, Tameka Brody, Erin Scott, Shi Fowler, Tyren Dearmond, Jesse Edwards, Nanisha Browning, Keyonna Colquitt, Tamara Sutton, Ian Sanders, LaToya Tanskley, Britney Dixon, Tony Williams, Tony Brown, Corey Moss, Jason Jones, Tommy Stewart, Karlon Avery, Richard Calhoun, Niquela Portis, Alisha Fultz, Mia Akram, Miles Moransee, Carlos Coleman, and many, many more special friends, there are just too many to name. To know Tea you had no choice but to LOVE Tea!!!

Visitation is Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.  Entombment will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery in Urbana, Ohio
