Pattie Mae Threats, 72, of Springfield, Ohio passed away on January 1, 2021 at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on December 5, 1948 in Springfield, Ohio to Will O. and Minnie (Godfrey) Riggins Sr. She was the oldest of 9 children. She faithfully attended Peoples Baptist Church.
Pattie worked at Springview Developmental Center, where she retired. She was also a nurse for over 35 years and a Springfield City Schools bus driver for over 20 years. She continued to work at both until she became sick in November 2020.
Pattie enjoyed spending time with her family. She was known to love her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and each of them loved her. If you saw Pattie, there was a chance that you would see at least one of her grandsons or great grands. She also enjoyed watching cowboys, working in and decorating her yard, music, and dancing.
Pattie’s memory will be cherished by her loving daughters: Shawnita (Ricarlos Brantley) Threats of Clarksville, Tennessee and Helen Threats of Springfield, Ohio, Honorary daughter: Sara (Braden) Espich; Her grandchildren: DeShawn, DeShae, Alante’, Ricarlos II, Shane Jr., Deiontae, Shelton, Sha’Ron, Honorary grandchildren Cody Espich and Rebekah (Andrew) Hurst; Her great-grandchildren: Jayse, Josiah, DeSarae, Harmony, Shane III, Alivia, Karmen and Honorary great-grandchildren, Jackson and Tucker Espich; Her sisters: Arlean (George) McWhorter, Vickie Russell, Avalla E. and Phyllis Riggins, and Brothers: Will O. Jr and Allan Riggins Sr; Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, and Many Special Friends.
Pattie was preceded in death by her parents Will O. and Minnie (Godfrey) Riggins Sr.; her sisters, Helen Riggins and Geraldine Richmond; and her niece Chaunte Wilson and nephew John Jackson.
Pattie will be greatly missed.
