Mrs. Blanche Carpenter Obituary
Blanche L. Carpenter, 98, of Springfield, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018. She was born on October 27, 1920 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Harris) Hampton. She was the oldest of 12 children and a longtime member of El Bethel Temple Church and a member of the House of Prayer for the last 20 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, John Eugene (Sue) Carpenter of Canton, OH; brothers, Preston Hampton and Louis (Luvenia) Hampton; sisters, Clara B. (Reginald) Richardson, Katherine Wilson and Lucille (William) Brown all of Springfield, OH; 4 grandchildren, John Carpenter, Shawanna Clark, Larece Carpenter and LaRahonda Lenski, 11 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren, 7 great-great-great grandchildren; devoted ex-daughter-in-law, Carlotta Rodgers and devoted niece and caregiver, Sandra Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Grandville Carpenter; daughter, Mary Carpenter; 5 brothers and two sisters.
Blanche had been employed by Clark County Family Services as a Foster Home Provider which many of her wards were babies. She loved them all and they loved her.
