Minerva Harris passed away in Indianapolis, Indiana February 28, 2022. Minerva was born in Marietta, Georgia December 8, 1927 to James and Eddie Daniels. She graduated from Springfield High School in Ohio. She was a member of Glorious Light Church of God where she served as president of the missionary board and “mother” of the church. Minerva worked domestically and was employed by Porter Funeral Home. She was well known for her love of cooking and baking.
She leaves to further her legacy her grandchildren, Anthony (Angela) Harris, Mark Muhammad, Edward White, Guy (Kim) Muhammad, Martin Harris, Deanna (Frank) Brown and Corrie Poe; nephew, Terrance Ellison, and a host of nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, Martin Harris; her children, Guy Harris, Mark Harris and Beth Ann Jackson; twin sister, Eddie Walls and other brothers and sisters, and her grandson, Bryant Harris; best friends, Rebecca Stewart, Susie Chapman and Patricia Newby.
Visitation is Friday, March 11, 2022 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon in Greater First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
