Michael L. Colvin

Michael Lavern Colvin departed this life on November 10, 2022. He was born January 10th 1969 to Barbara Ann Colvin and Melvin Beard.

As an adolescent Michael gave his life to Christ. Michael, attending Springfield North High School, played football and basketball. Michael worked at O’Cedar Brands before becoming disabled.

He was an avid fisherman and loved to barbecue for his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish in his memory four children, Kristen Colvin of Columbus Ohio, Michael (Lil Mikey) Colvin of Springfield, Ohio, Shelby Colvin of Springfield, and Austin Colvin. He also leaves 6 siblings, sisters, Michelle Colvin of Atlanta Georgia, Melinda Harris Dearmond of Springfield, Ohio and Kelly Harris Earley of Minnesota; brothers, Myron Colvin of Columbus, Ohio, Rayshawn Buford of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Eric Buford of Springfield Ohio; two grandchildren, Ma’Siah Day and Le’Michael Colvin both of Springfield, Ohio; long-time companion and friend, Heather Cooper of Springfield, Ohio; uncle, Gary (Vicki) Colvin of Columbus, Ohio; aunts, Christine (Jesse) Stafford of Huber Heights, Ohio, Stephanie Jackson, and Toni Beard both of Springfield, Ohio; special friends, Eddie Gatewood, Escham Smith, and Teddy Exon all of Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Monroe and Lou Jesse Colvin; paternal  grandparents, Andy and Joyce Beard May, and Melvin Beard Sr. 

Visitation is Monday, November 21, 2022 from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. in the Church of God M.P.G. of T.
