Marvin Compton Obituary

Marvin L. Compton Sr., 68, passed away September 19, 2020.  He was one of nine children born to Charles and Rosalee Compton.  He was born January 30, 1952 in Springfield, Ohio.  He served his country in the United States Marine Corps.  Marvin retired from Clark County Department of Human Services after many years of dedicated service.
Marvin leaves to cherish his memory his three children, YaVonda (Curtis) Compton, Marvin L. Compton Jr. and Brandon (Cassie) Cosby; 8 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters, Roxanne (Milton) Gaines,  Susan Long and Lorna Brown; 4 brothers, James, Charles, Roscoe and Phillip (Bernadine) Compton; a special uncle and namesake, elder Marvin (Dr. Ida) Graves, a host of nieces, nephews cousins, other relatives and friends including Don “Falfie” Owens.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beverly Ann and nephew, Juan Compton.
Visitation Tuesday Sept. 29th  11:00 A.M.
Funeral Tuesday Sept. 29th   12 Noon
Burial Dayton National Cemetery  2:00 P.M.
