Lita Marie “Joan” (Pritchet) Harris of Springfield, Ohio passed away on her 89th birthday, November 4, 2020 at Allen View Healthcare Center. She was born November 4, 1931 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Nohma Nokomas and Irene Iris (Gray) Pritchet who preceded her in death.
Lita Marie met Marty Sr. when they were children. They were childhood sweethearts. After Lita graduated from Springfield High School in 1950 she and Marty were married for 69 years and had three children. She worked at Springview TB unit. She was also employed by Springfield City Schools and was the head cashier at Roosevelt Middle School before she retired. Lita Loved to do puzzles, such as jigsaw and word puzzles. She loved to watch her “Soaps”. Lita was an excellent cook and baker. She was a great Mom to us and the kids in our neighborhood.
Lita’s memory will be cherished by her daughters, Vickie L. Harris Murph of Springfield, Ohio and Gayle A. “Sweetie” Harris of Springfield, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Gayle Guenther Harris of Texas; grandchildren, Dana D. Cox, Cadance C. Cox, Cacia Cox, Keagan Cox, Gavin L. O’Neal and Julia and Wesley Toler; nieces and nephews, Jerry L. Pritchet of San Bernadino, California, Kathy L. Pritchet of Springfield, Ohio, Karen L. Pritchet of Venica, California, Eric Pritchet, Brian Pritchet and Traci Pritchet of Michigan, Bradford (Carolyn) Lane of Arizona, Staci M. (James) Lane Fields of Tortwood, Ohio, Keith E. Lane of Huber Heights, Ohio, Toya I. (Forrest) Pritchet Trollinger of Springfield, Ohio and LaTonya (Jimmy) Pritchet Hall of Springfield, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Sally M. Pritchet of Michigan and Margaret Marie Pritchet of Springfield, Ohio and a host of other relatives and friends. She loved her family.
Lita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marty Harris Sr.; son, Marty Harris Jr.; her four siblings, Raymond Pritchet, Nohma Nokomas Pritchet Jr., Vivian Annette Lane and Lemuel Eugene Pritchet and son-in-law, Craig Murph.
