Larry L. Lytle, 81, of Springfield passed away on January 5, 2022. He was born on February 9, 1940 to Robert Lytle and Margaret (Stripling) Lytle in Springfield, Ohio.
Larry retired from Robbins & Myers Inc. after working 45 years as a crane operator.
Larry and Dorothy Stanford married in 1962. Together they had three children sons Michael Stanford, Mark Lytle and Matthew Lytle. He is survived by sisters, Ada Barker and Lela Hall, as well as several nieces and nephews, 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Larry was part of a musical family and played guitar all his life. He and his brother, David, were members of a band called The Fabulous Mustangs in his early years, and he continued to play in church bands (Sunshine Gospel Singers) and at family gatherings. He was also a member of the band, The Lapels.
Larry was predeceased in death by his parents, Robert & Margaret Lytle; wife, Dorothy (Stanford) Lytle; siblings, Robert “Sonny” Lytle, John “Johnny” Lytle, James “Bibble” Lytle, David Lytle Sr., Victoria Langhorn, and daughter, Mia Lytle.
A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church.
