Inez "Tobi" (Westmoreland) Truss

Inez “Tobi” (Westmoreland) Truss, 83, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022.  She was born November 28, 1938 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Wallace and Margaret (Reed) Westmoreland. 

Tobi had been employed as a nurse’s aide and provided loving and compassionate care to her clients.  She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church and participated in several of the church’s ministries.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Katrina Harris (Rock Island, IL); sons,  Christopher Wood (San Diego, CA), Jerome Wood (Lewis Run, PA) and James (Jodi) Wood (Springfield, OH); grandchildren, Andrea Wood, Candance (Allen) Riggins, Katara Wood and Tameka Wood all of Springfield, Ohio, Tamara Harris of Las Vegas, NV and Wendy (Dean) Gibson of San Diego, CA; sister, Rebekah (Napoleon) Biles of Springfield, Ohio, cousin, Joyce Beverly Casey; special friend, Dianne “Tracey” Jordan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Richard “Dickie” Wood and James Truss; daughter, Karen Teague; son, Craig Wood; sisters, June Jackson, Sharon King and Cynthia Lawson; brothers, Wallace Westmoreland, Ashley Westmoreland and Stephen Westmoreland.

Visitation will be Monday, June 13, 2022 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon in St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
