Harry L. Jones

Harry L. Jones, 79, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 17, 2023. 

Harry Lee Jones was born March 5, 1944 to the marriage of his parents Rev Jacob Jonathan and Doris Halliburton Jones, in the Miami Valley Hospital of Dayton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Freddy Halliburton and Donald Jones, and his sister, Mrs. Judith Jones Morrow.

Harry has many relatives in the Dayton area. Besides the Jones family, he is directly related to the Walton family by his dad’s sister, the late Lillie (Tom) Walton, and to the Hatch family by his dad’s other sister, the late Joyce (Dennis) Hatch. His other aunts were the late Lovie Jones and the late Vera Jones Minor. His uncles were the late Silas and Ollie Jones, and the late Paul and Callie Jones; his grandparents were the late Kelly and Mary Jones of Bessemer, Ala., and Doc and Ora Halliburton of Halls, TN. Harry loved his family and loved hearing about his Roots!
Harry leaves to mourn his passing his loving and best friend, Ms. Medrith Avery; his brothers, David Jones of Dayton and Dennis Jones of Memphis, TN; his cousins, Shirley Ross and Pamela Dunigan of Halls, TN; Calvin Jones Jr (Sharon) of Dayton and Dale Skip Jones (Debra) of Cincinnati, along with many other relatives and friends.
He will be sadly missed by many.

Visitation is Monday, March 27, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
