Obituary
Gerald E. "Jerry" Sims, 80, of Springfield, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 21, 2023. He was born May 14, 1943 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Rev. Clarence B. and Laura (Clark) Sims.
Jerry enjoyed fishing, music, singing and reading and talking about the Bible. He had been employed by Navistar International and Sterling Furniture in Maryland.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Sherri (Gary) Sargent of Wisconsin; sons, Gerald Sims Jr. and Vincent J..J. Sims, grandsons, Kevin (Briana) Sargent and Kyle Sargent and Gerald T. Sims and a number of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bonnie (Sims) Rosser.
Visitation is Friday, September 1, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Burial Park.
