David Allen Payne was born to Clarence and Shirley Payne on December 8, 1969 in Springfield, Ohio.
David was educated within the Springfield City School System, graduating from Springfield South High School in 1989.
David served in the United States Army for eleven years, moving up the ranks to Sergeant. He was a part of the Persian Gulf War, Operation Restore Hope in Somalia, and Operation Joint Endeavor in Bosnia-Herzegovina. He received many medals and awards during his service.
Upon leaving the military he worked 9 years at AT&T Communications as a supervisor, managing the offices in the Dayton-Springfield area.
He went to rest on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the age of 49. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Payne; paternal grandparents, Clarence (Grace) Payne and maternal grandparents, Parks (Edna) Graves.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Mi'Yona Payne; three daughters, De'Anha Payne, Deja Payne and Danae Payne; one grandchild, DeAndre Boddie; his father, Clarence Thomas Payne Jr.; two sisters, Melissa (James) Conners of Springfield, OH and Catherine Payne of Conley, GA; two brothers, Leon (Frances) Payne Goose Creek, SC, Kevin Payne of Springfield, OH and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
