Anthony Lamont Lane of Springfield, Ohio was born August 9, 1975 to Tina (Dwight) Lane-Evans and Larry Crafter. Anthony’s soul departed this world unexpectedly on June 22, 2021. The family is consoled by the knowledge that in his 45 years of life he was always surrounded by love, family, friendship and music.
His passion for music made him a Springfield pioneer. He was known for his lyricism in his group PPC (Poetical Priznaz Camp) and for his most current music endeavor, Alane-Gang Muzic label. His passion reached beyond just music; he also enjoyed poetry, writing memoirs that referenced his love for God, and assisting his late father, Larry Crafter, with Hustle Recovery – a support group for recovering addicts. Anthony absolutely adored his family!
He was a dedicated husband to his childhood sweetheart, Tracy Foster Lane for 32 years. He leaves to continue his legacy his children, Anthony Lane, Adontre’ (Lyric Brown) Lane, Ayona Lane, and Khalil Hall. Anthony had a special love and connection with his two grandchildren, Jordan Lane and Jaion “Major” Lane. Anthony will be missed by his siblings, Andrea Young, Chantelle Lane, Christina Lane, Dontia Covington and Isaiah Hardison, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father; Larry T. Crafter, loving aunt; Janet House, and his twin son and daughter, Amonte and Ajae Lane. Anthony lived his life with courage and shared his wisdom with all who would listen. None of us will ever forget him and how he touched our hearts!
