Obituary

Willie Louise (White) Jones,81, entered into eternal rest July 6, 2012 in her residence surrounded by her family. She was born November 6, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio the only child of the late William H. and Ruby (Ventress) White. Sshe graduated from Springfield High School in 1949 and was united in marriage to Pastor Emeritus Cleaveland R. Jones on July 16, 1949 by the late Pastor Herbert Benton. From this union came six children. Louise worked numerous jobs. Working with children including Randolph and Darlene Deer Family, Springfield City Schools Enrichment Program and Mercy Medical Center. She was known as the team mother to several sports teams and neighborhood mother to many. Louise was know by her smile, soft spoken voice, but not on the baseball field when she had to say a word to the umpire concerning a bad call that he made. She always had a kind word and an out stretched hand to all children of all ages. She was the former First Lady of the First Zion Baptist Church in Jamestown, Ohio and Second Baptist Church of Delaware, Ohio. Sis Jones loved to show youth of the church how to make special kinds of food and how to crochet. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Springfield, Ohio where she seved of the Mother's Board. She was also a member of Lily of the Valley #7 Order of the Eastern Star where she was the past Worthy Matron. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Pastor Emeritus Cleaveland R. Jones; six children, Richard (Bettie) Jones Sr. of Atlanta, Georgia, Marsha Jones of Springfield, Ohio, Bruce (Karla) Jones of Huber Hts., Ohio, Larry (Brenda) Jones of Springfield, Ohio, William Michael (Veronica) Jones and L.E. Darlene Jones all of Springfield, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, Kirstine (Calvin) Danna, Katina Jones, Kim White, Richard Jones Jr., Emily Jones, Candace (Jerry) Martin, LaShaunte Jones, LeJuan Jones, Jasmine Jasmince Jones, Ebony Jones, Larry Jones Jr., Diamond Farley and Veronique Jones; 12 great grandchildren, Dante, Kevin and Aaron Danna, Anthony Davis, Azvon, Brandon and BreAnna Jones, Amayah Lawrence, Marco Jackson Jr. Jacory and Jade Martin and Scott; two brothers, Robert "Bow" Jones and Carl "Late" Jones; three sisters, Margaret Pritchet, Delores Jones and Louetta Jones all of Springfield, Ohio; special sons, Gary Griffin, Joseph Smith and Mike Brown; special neighbor, Louis Chambers and a host of of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and step parents, Henry Toliver and Eva White-Green.
