Willie Clarice Wells, was born to the union of the late James (Jim) Jones and Sophie Macon Jones of Noxubee County, Mississippi. At an early age and as a baptized adult, Clarice accepted and believed Jesus Christ to be her personal Savior, at the Christian Hill Baptist Church in Mississippi. She passed from her earthly life into eternal heavenly life on June 24, 2016.
Clarice graduated from the Mary Holmes Junior College in West Point, Mississippi, after earning a Bachelor's Degree. She was united in hold matrimony to Earnest George Wells, Sr., in Noxubee County, Mississippi and moved to Springfield, Ohio, where they lived the majority of their lives and raised a family. She was a faithful member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Springfield.
Throughout her life, Clarice demonstrated prayerful commitment to her children and family. Her life will be remembered and cherished by her husband, Earnest George Wells Sr.; 6 children, Earnest George Wells, Jr. of Columbus, Georgia, Gloria Jean Turner of Cincinnati, Ohio, Harold Forrester Tate of Tehachapi, California, Clyde Korrel Tate of New York, New York and Sylvia Tate Fletcher of Cincinnati, Ohio and Larry Wells, her 10 grandchildren; brother, Claude Rufus (Eloise) Jones and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
