Vickie D. Williams, 77, of Springfield, Ohio was born on February 24, 1949, in Springfield, Ohio to Janet (Hardin) Berrien-Trumbo and Harry Lewis Jr. She completed her earthly journey peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Vickie had a lifelong passion for cooking and baking - a talent that became one of her greatest expressions of love. Her dishes were more than food; they were comfort, celebration, and connection. Vickie nourished everyone around her with both her meals and her affection. Her kitchen was a place of laughter, storytelling, and the kind of warmth that can never be replaced.
Vickie was a member of the Institute of Devine Metaphysical Research, where she was able to showcase her beautiful singing voice in the New Jerusalem Singers Choir before she relocated to New Jersey and married Palmer L. Wiliams Jr.
Vickie is survived by her Husband, Palmer L. Williams Jr. She leaves the following children to cherish her memory, devoted daughter, Jada Lewis of Springfield, Eric Lewis of Columbus, Derek Lewis of Dayton, James (Nadine) Lewis of Independence and Toni (Antonio) Newsome of Columbus. She also leaves her brothers, Keith Berrien of Springfield, Bayliss Berrien of Clarksville Tennessee, Brian (Monica) Berrien of Springfield, Gary Berrien of Springfield and Ricardo Lewis of Springfield; sisters, Rita L. Jones of Springfield, Paula Gaines of Houston, Texas and Anita (Monte) Browning of Springfield, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members as well as longtime friends, Myra Smoot-Threats and Jeanette Yancy.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, her son, William Blaine Lewis, her brother, Harry Lewis III and nephew, Brian Berrien Jr.
Visitation is Friday, May 1, 2026 from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
