Vernon L. Bailey was born March 30, 1922 the son of Allen and Gertrude (Hall) Bailey. Vernon married Eloise Turner and together they raised 4 children, Darryl E. (Kim Wilson) Bailey, Brad L. (Regina King) Bailey, Cheryl E. Bailey and Steven L. (Stephanie Hubbard) Bailey; 9 grandchildren, Michael E. Bailey, Brook A. Bailey, Jason D. Bailey, Christopher D. Bailey, Todd J. Bailey, Erik D. Wilson, Tai-J. Wilson, Adrienne S. Bailey and Blair M. Bailey, great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Vernon was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eloise Turner Bailey; daughter-in-law, Denise Porter Bailey, granddaughter, Brittany D. Bailey (Blair's twin) and great granddaughter, Sarenity Bailey. Vernon was a dedicated servant of the Springfield West, Springfield East and Trotwood Congregation. He gained many, many friends in these congregations and he loved them dearly and he was loved dearly by them. The Bailey family would like to give special acknowledgements and Thank You to Timothy Rucker for prolonging Vernon's life during his time of crisis; Richard and David York for being constant companions and to all those who visited near and far, sent cards and shared memories with him in life.
