Vera M. (Davis) Daniels, 78, of Springfield, Ohio passed away on July 16 2026 at Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center. Vera was born 24 February 1948 to the late Iola (Barkley) Woods and Jesse W. Davis in Gadsden, Alabama.

She graduated from Springfield South High School in 1967 and retired from the United States Postal Service after 32 years. Vera enjoyed singing in the church choir, traveling, and cooking.

She is survived by her son, Gerald Davis of Round Rock, Texas; daughter, Leslie Abdullah; brother, Jesse Davis; sisters, Theresa (Davis) and Sullivan Jones, Catherine (Woods) Christian, Rochelle (Woods) and Michael Harris. Vera will be deeply missed by her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Iola and Benny Woods; sister, Geraldine (Davis) Stinnett and brother, Brock Woods. Memorial services will be held privately.
