Tyrome Dwayne Taylor, 55, of Springfield, Ohio unexpectedly passed away on October 08, 2022.  He was born May 23, 1967, to Orphus (Straughter) and Edmond Taylor.

A lifelong resident of Springfield, Tyrome often spoke fondly of growing up on Mulberry Street with his older siblings and loved his family dearly. A self-admitted Momma's Boy, Tyrome was always there for his family and friends and there was not anything that he would not do for his loved ones.

As a loyal employee of 30 years to the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), Tyrome retired in 2015 and was enjoying his free time.  Tyrome enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, watching UFC, playing video games, and tinkering with knickknacks. Additionally, he absolutely adored his dogs and treated them just like children.

Tyrome leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Ethel; children, Tenika (Danny) DeArmond, Khristina (Jiali) Tyson, and Jachob Tyson; grandchildren, Danaysha, Dayonna, Desmen, Neveah, and Denzel; three grand-dogs; his siblings, John (Deborah) Taylor, Felicia (Fransworth) Taylor-Thompson, Editonia (Joseph) Gerideau, and Jerome Taylor. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends; a special nephew, Trevor Will, and a bonus son, Dustin Clark. He is preceded in death by his mother, Orphus R.S. Taylor and his father, Edmond Taylor.

Tyrome will always be remembered for his infectious smile, soft-spoken manner, tortoise-like driving, and as a gentle giant.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. in St. John Missionary Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
