Theresa Dianne Kelley, 64, of Springfield departed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 2, 2017 at 3:40 a.m. She was born August 10, 1952 in Springfield, OH a daughter of Doris B. (Evans) Kelley and Melvin Kelley, Jr. Born and raised in church attending the Church of Jesus on Chestnut Ave., maturing to love the Lord and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and was a faithful member of the best choir in life at the Church of Jesus under the admirable Bishop Cecil Alexander Pratt. Loving the Lord and always praying, a very proud and phenomenal mother her son Andre was her entire world, so kind, sweet and loving of all she was close to. Very dedicated to her family and loved ones. Theresa loved her family dearly and whole heartily. She loved to dance and sing and going shopping and had a special love for purses and shoes and having her hair and nails done. A very dedicated worker running the can can machine and counting money at First National Bank for several years to go on to Applins Nursing Home full time and the K of P Pythian Home part time to care for ones in need which was her passion. In February of 1989 she went to work for Mercy St. John for 30 years until retirement in 2009. A very outgoing and dedicated worker. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Andre Kelley; two grandchildren, a very dear and special granddaughter, Andrea Shaniece Kelley, her "Pumpkin"; two great grandchildren, four sisters, Gloria Kelley, Rose Kelley, Pam Kelley and Victoria Lynn (Eric Echols); Special friends, Kim Hall, Suzette Elston, "Sissy" Paula Jiles, Kathy Robinson and Ludy Kemp. A very special and dear uncle, former Chief of Police, Roger Evans and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Doris Kelley; father, Melvin Kelley, Jr.; grandmother, Mary Queen Ragland; grandfather, Melvin Kelley, S and grandson, Donte Tayo Kelley. Theresa will always be loved and her sweet demeanor will be cherished for eternity. I will see you mother, my angel when I get there on those golden streets . Love you forever, your son Andre.
