Sherry Lynn Gentry-Gaines, 67, of Springfield, Ohio went to be with the Lord and her mother on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.  She was born February 14, 1956 to Tobe Bush and Ernestine (Strickland) Gentry I .  Sherry received her Bachelors Degree and worked in home health care for many years and was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church.

She was married to Wentford Gaines and to this union they had twin sons, Jerrid (Katrina) Gaines and Jerrod (Timbrie) Gaines.  Sherry was a devoted and loving grandmother to seven grandchildren, TyJaughn Gaines, Taelor Gaines, Tyelor Gaines, TaVeont Dennis, Taliek Dennis, Jerrid "JJ" Gaines Jr. and Sophia Gaines.  She also leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Deborah Woods and Patty (John) Young and brother, Tobe B. (Patricia) Gentry II. She also is survived by a special  aunt, Elsie Richardson; special cousin, Irmajean Stone; special friend, Beverly Stevens and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Sherry was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation is Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon in Covenant United Methodist Church.  Burial will be at the convenience in Ferncliff Cemetery.
