It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ryan Lamar Rice on April 10, 2025, at the age of 47.

Born on July 26, 1977, Ryan was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend whose presence brought joy and warmth to all who knew him.

Ryan leaves behind his loving parents, Barbara Butler, Cecil Rice Sr., and Sheila Henry; his cherished son, Derion; four sisters: Jaimee, Starr, Sasha, and Ira; his brother, Cecil Jr.; aunts and uncles, especially Aunt Joyce Smith; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Ryan was preceded in death by his sister, Nicole Cooper.

Ryan's memory will forever remain in our hearts, and his spirit will continue to guide those who loved him.

Services for Ryan will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Robert C. Henry Funeral Home. Viewing will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will immediately follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
