Ruth Mae Walls Davis, 92 earned her wings Wednesday, May 24, 2017 and passed from earth to glory to be with her Heavenly Father. Born December 17, 1924 to Edward and Mrytle (Carr) Walls. She attended Springfield public Schools and was employed by Mercy Hospital for many years where she retired. In her early years, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the Church of Jesus under the late Pastor Mother Ballard. She later joined the House of Prayer where she was a dedicated and faithful member for many years until she was no longer able to go. Ruth sit under the leadership of her Brother the late Bishop Lawyer Walls and later her nephew, Pastor Ricardo Warfield. She loved Sunday School and being in the House of the Lord every time she could to give praise and glory to God. One of her favorite songs was "Thou Thinkest Lord of Me" along with a few others. Ruth Walls Davis leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Dianna Flournoy, son Jesse Davis Jr., grand children Jermaine, Janeen (Duane), Nicole, Natasha (Amin), Aaron, Monte, Tiffani, Melisa, Heather and RaShan, 20 great-grandchildren, 4 great- great-grandchildren, brother Louis Walls, special in-laws; Tisha Flournoy and Arthur Flournoy, sister-in-laws, Mildred Walls and Martha Walls, special friend, Leola Wood, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, House of Prayer Church Family and many friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Jackie (Peanut) Huguely brothers; Joseph (Mickey) Walls, David Walls, James Walls, Bobby Walls, Samuel Walls, and Lawyer Walls, sisters: Elizabeth (Walls) Oliver and Hazel (Walls) Warfield and Patty Walls.
