Robert J. Tolliver went home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2015. Robert was born May 18, 1928 in London, Ohio to Albert & Ruth (Austin) Tolliver. Robert retired from M&M Federal Savings and Springfield City School and served his country in the U.S. Navy. He had a lifelong love of bowling; was a member of the Masons; managed the Pleasure Seekers Band and volunteered at United Senior Services. He leaves to cherish his memory 4 loving sons, Michael J. (Eugenia) Tolliver of Fontana, CA., Jeffrey L. Tolliver, Minister Arlin J. "Par" (Helen) Tolliver both of Springfield, OH. and Carleton B. "Toonce" (Janis) Tolliver of Cincinnati, OH.; step-brother, Willis "Tom Thumb" Higginbotham; step-sister, Sharon Higginbotham; special nephew, Roger Tolliver; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Tioga "Oakie" and Valerie Moore, Roger Neal, John and Olivia Howard and the Roosevelt Apartment family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia L. (Martin) Tolliver; son, Ronald L. Tolliver, his parents Albert & Ruth Tolliver, a grandson, a great-granddaughter; step-mother, Lucille Tolliver; brothers, John & Albert "Jr." Tolliver and sisters, Maxine Turner and Mary Gaskins.
