Richard Darden, 68, of Springfield passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017. He was born March 12, 1949 in Newnan, GA a son of Howard and Gertrude (Cook) Darden. He attended Springfield South High School and worked at Mercy Hospital for over 40 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Ashley (Chris) Fuquay and Donnice Ross; sons, Ricardo Darden and Lamont Darden; 12 grandchildren; brothers, James (Sarah) Darden and Horace (Sue) Mahmood; sisters, Evelyn Bradford and Susiette (Timothy) Williams a loving aunt, Rose Mae Houzah, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friend Joyce. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marie Darden. Richard will be greatly missed by many. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 6, 2017 at My Church, 334 S. Plum St. with visitation one hour prior to service. Arrangements by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
