Raymond D. Trimble was born February 17, 1930 in Hillsboro, Ohio to the late Roy Trimble and Bernadine Johnson Trimble Woodley He attended North Carolina A & T University in Greensboro, N.C. He was a member of New North St. AME Church. Raymond served in the Armed Forces, 3rd Infantry Division, Armored Infantry and the National Guard from 1953-1971. He retired from WPAFB, Chief of Printing and Reproduction Graphics after 33 years of service. Ray was an avid sports person having been inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame and was a member of Springfield Golf Commission. He was also an active participant in tutoring literacy, a driver for Meals on Wheels, a member of the Springfield Turf Club, the Geritol Golf Group and the Couple Club.
Ray is survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllisann Harley Trimble; daughter, Bobbi Cunningham; grandchildren, Sherri (Kyle) Johnson and CJ (India) Cunningham; 7 great grandchildren, Nina, Michael, Nasiim, Kingston, Kaleb and Kamryn; sister, Nan Harshaw and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Harley Trimble; step-father, Leonard Woodley; brothers, Sherwin, Wayne and Darrell and sisters, Barbara and Carol Jean.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. He will surely be missed by all.
