Patricia A. Hawthorne- Redding, born February, 3, 1937 went home to be with the Lord June 21, 2017 at her home with her family surrounding her. She retired from Wright Patterson Air Force after 25 years as a Budget Analyst. She was a foster parent for 17 years and enjoyed having family around her. She belonged to the Elks Lodge (Past Daughter Ruler), Eastern Star, Springfield Chapter NAACP and Ladies Untied. Patricia was preceded in death by her father and mother, Lee and Virginia (Rice) Dixon; her husband, James Redding; son, Keith Robinson; brothers, Lloyd Dixon, Benjamin Dixon, LeeAnder Dixon and sister, Maxine Harris. Survivors include her children, Gerald T. (Peggy) Robinson Jr., of Maryland, Rhonda Robinson Mapp, Rochelle Robinson and Adrian Chilton and godson John Woods of Dayton OH. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Millard M.(Shelia) Dixon of Springfield, OH; sisters, Francis M. Burton and Charlene Butler of Columbus, OH; special sister-n-law, Cathy(Robinson) Jones of Springfield, OH; Danny Mapp; lifelong friend, Carlene Castleberry and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that she will truly miss. The Family would like to say thank you to Pastor Brown and her St. John family for their support during her life. We express our appreciation for the professional care provided by Passport, Compassion Hospice and The Easter Day Care for the excellent care and passion they gave her and the love from her grandchildren that stood by her side and gave her unconditional love to the end.
