Ossie M. Battle, 78, of Springfield departed this life Saturday December 26, 2015. She was born September 2, 1937 in Crawfordville, GA a daughter of Jack and Sally (Claude) Harper. Mrs. Battle was employed by the Springfield City School System for many years. She leaves to cherish her memory two loving daughters, Yvette Battle and Ruby Battle; 12 brothers and sisters, Isaiah, Geneva, Bubba, Big Baby, Curl, Tommy Lee, Gene, Willie, Budwell, Mary, Martha, and Lola; sister in law, Dorothy Crossley; 11 grandchildren, Kimano, Kelvin, Kiwana, Miguel, Nicole, Sylvester Jr., Danielle, Jousha, Kellie, Tony III, and Ilah. She was preceded in death by her son, Sylvester Battle. Mrs. Battle has a number of great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday January 5, 2016 from 10am until the time of service at 11am in the Restored Life Ministries with Pastor Larry Coleman officiating. Arrangements by the Robert C.
