Ophelia Jeannine Fullen (Thaxton-Pritchet), 91, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, March 9th. She was born December 7, 1926 in Mount Union, PA. the daughter of Thomas and Missouri (Brandon) Thaxton and foster daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Henry Northern. She attended Wilberforce University for two years as a Music Major. Ophelia retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a Personnel Assistant and received a Certificate of Service in recognition of 35 years of faithful service. She was a long-time and faithful member of New North St. AME Church, where she was a member of the Rosie Smith Missionary Society, the Usher Board, Housing Board Inc. and a former member of the Finance Committee and Trustee Board. Ophelia was a long-time member of Akbar Court #33 and served as Illustrious Commandress and Imperial Deputy of the Oasis. She was also a member of the Past Commandress Club and Music Club. Mrs. Fullen is survived by her loving family, daughters, Karen L Pritchet of Venice, CA. and Kathy L Pritchet of Springfield, OH; son, Jerry Pritchet of San Bernardino, CA; extended family, goddaughter, Patricia (Keith) Stinnett, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, foster parents; husband, Charles A. Fullen Sr.; sisters, Olivia Howard, Sarah Bent, Ethel Thaxton and Blanche Thaxton; brothers, Walter Thaxton and Richard Thaxton.
