Olivia M. (Thaxton) Howard, 84, of Springfield, Ohio passed March 1, 2016. She was born October 4, 1931 in Mt. Union, PA. the daughter of Thomas and Missouri (Brandon) Thaxton. Mrs. Howard had been employed by Dr. Guy L. Emmons, D.D.S and retired after more than 35 years of dedicated service. She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church and bowled with Moving-On Bowling for Seniors. Her memory will be cherished by her husband, John Howard; daughter, Rhonda Hall; son, Edward Alan Hall; step-daughters, Diane (Jim) Washington and Gloria Jean Robinson; step-sons, John A. Howard and Phillip (Mary) Howard; grandchildren, Shaminica Davidson, Calvin Echols and Barry Hall, 3 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; sister, Ophelia Fullen; special friends, Linda Smith and Louise Lanier and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Barry Hall; sisters, Sarah, Blanche and Ethel; brothers, Walter and Richard; special friends, Robert and Virginia Tolliver. Visitation is Monday, March 7, 2016 from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m. in St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Mulberry St. entrance.
