Obituary

Norma Jean Johnson is the daughter of Boston and Lucille (Bradley) Walton. She was born in Springfield, OH. Norma worked at Mercy Hospital for over 35 years. She also catered with Geneva Bacon (LiMar Catering). Norma was a faithful member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the U.S. Munnerlyn Circle, Culinary, Youth and Host and Hostess Ministries. She was a member of the National Council of Negro Women, The Retirement Set, the Over the Hill Gang and she was a founding member of the Sisters Gathering. She supported, loved and encouraged her family and friends, especially her beloved son Marlan. Norma leaves to cherish her memory her stepchildren, Lynnie and Wayne Johnson; her sisters, Hattie Arnold and Edith Ladipo and "adopted children" Sabrina Collins and Brad Canavan and Special niece, Lisa Dunn and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her 2 sisters, Mary Lou Newby and Dorothy "Dot" Watkins; brothers, James and Tyrone Walton and her beloved son, Marlan.
