Michael W. "Mike" Thompson, 70, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020 in Soin Medical Center.  He was born March 11, 1950 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Charles E. and Senora J. Thompson. He retired from Brown Steel in Columbus, Ohio.

Mike is survived by his son, Matthew Thompson; stepchildren, Clifford and Carma Kelly of Columbus, Ohio, Marissa Parks and Michaela Owens of Springfield, Ohio; brother, Richard E. Gibson; sisters, Diane J. Thompson and Josephine A. (Charles) Cole; a special friend, Terry Bowden and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. and Senora J. Thompson; brother, Charles E. (Freda) Thompson Jr.; sister, Charlotte L. Jones; twin brother, Melvin Thompson and fiancé, Michelle Owens.  Mike was a funny, outgoing, kind hearted man that loved his family. You could always count on Mike to make you laugh when you were suppose to be silent. "I didn't let go"!!
