Michael D. Adams, 65, of Springfield, OH went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 28, 2017.  He passed away peacefully at the Essex House of Springfield.  He was born December 2, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois.  He was the son of Garnetta (Henderson) Adams and James P. Adams.  Michael was last employed at Springfield News and Sun, and was Honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps.  Michael was a faithful member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church where he served dutifully for the Ushers Missionary Board and Christian Men's Fellowship as well as actively with other church services.  Michael's memory will be cherished by ones who deeply loved him brothers, Bruce (Dorothy) Adams, Kenneth Henderson of Columbus, OH, Ronald (Adams) Faison of Chicago, IL; sister, Sharon (Aaron) of Stafford, VA; uncle, Martin Adams of Chicago, IL; nephews and niece, Aaron, Julian, and Angela all of Springfield, several great-nephews and nieces, and a host of cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents Deacon Harrison and Julia Myrick. Service for Michael Adams will be held Friday June 2, 2017 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 34 W. Mulberry St., Springfield, Ohio. Visitation will be 10:00 am until time of the service which will be at 11:00 am with Reverend Ernest C. Brown Sr. officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Robert C.
