Marlene Edwards, 81, of Springfield, Ohio passed away August 14, 2016. She was born in Springfield August 31, 1934 a daughter of Maceo and Beatrice (Henry) Burns. Marlene leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Jo Karen Rhone (Edwards) of Broken Arrow, OK; son, John Kent (Sherri) Edwards of Seattle WA; grandchildren, Mia Ellis (Burns) of Milwaukee WI, Kasey Rhone-Smith and Lee Rhone of Broken Arrow, OK; great-grandchildren Monica and Marquis Ellis of Milwaukee, WI, Savannah and Victoria Rhone of Broken Arrow, OK; brother George Burns of Springfield, OH; nieces, Yvonne Thevenot (Burns) of North Bergen, NJ, Melissa Phillips, Springfield, OH; nephew John Burns of Hyattsville, MD; great-niece Jazmyn Gaines-Burns; great-nephew Blaise Thevenot and a host of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joe Thomas Edwards; daughter, Rita Diane Burns-Edwards; siblings Carl W. Burns, John Luther Burns, Joanne Burns, Louise Burns and great-niece Helene Thevenot.
