Lucielle Jordan, 95, of Springfield, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020.  She was born December 24, 1924 in Waxhaw, NC to the late Thomas and Rosie (Bailey) Jacobs.

Lucielle attended Marvin High School where she was a star player for the girls' basketball team which led to her meeting the love of her life, Lester Sr.  They moved to Springfield in1945 where they enjoyed 58 years of marital bliss and were the proud parents of 6 wonderful children.  Lucielle worked as a teacher's aide in the Springfield City School system and retired in 1985.  Lucielle was committed to a lifetime of learning which is why she enrolled in computer coursework at Clark State even in her later years of life.

She was a devoted member of the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church and privileged to serve in many capacities; The Deaconess Board, Usher Board and Sunday School just to name a few.  Lucielle loved the Lord, loved her family and loved cooking, She was blessed to have the mind of a young person even at the age of 95.  Lucielle was a dedicated mother and friend who will be sadly missed by those whose lives she touched.

Lucielle leaves to cherish her memory her children, Daisy Gee, Lester (Mary) Jordan, Jr., Sylvester (Teresa) Jordan, Larry (Tresa) Jordan, Norman Jordan and Ernest Jordan; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Rosie Jacobs; husband, Lester Jordan, Sr. and siblings, Raymond, Sylvester, Mitchell, Grady, J.D., Robert, Isabel, Viola, Mary, Inezer, Ida, Ella, Curlie Lee, Clara and Janie.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 26 from 10:00 until time of service at 11:00am at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 1870 Clay Street, Springfield, OH 45505.  Burial will follow in Dayton National Cemetery.
