Obituary

Lottie Bell Adams Phillips 91 of Springfield and formerly of Yellow Springs, Ohio, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on May 1, 2015. She was born July 22, 1923 in Springfield, Ohio a daughter of Raymond and Nellie Casey. Mrs. Phillips was employed at Battelle in Columbus, Ohio where she retired after many years of faithful employment. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was served as head usher and she later joined the Central Chapel A.M.E. church in Yellow Springs, Ohio where she was a faithful member. She was a member of the VI Silhouettes for 30 years where she served as chaplain, treasurer and Vice-President and she was a member of the Retirement Set. Mrs. Phillips loved her family and enjoyed so many special times with them. She enjoyed listening to music and enjoyed dancing, even in the nursing home. She leaves to cherish her wonderful memory two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas Adams of Springfield and Steve and Patricia Adams of Sonoma, California, a loving and devoted brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Patricia Casey of Springfield, Ohio and Pat Casey was her caregiver, grandchildren Russell Young of San Francisco, California, Tony (Krystal) Adams of Millburn, New Jersey, Paul Hull of Dayton, Ohio; Christian Adams of Sonoma, California; Michael Byrd of Yellow Springs, Ohio; Gina (Willie) Span of Hubert Hts., Ohio Robin (Lisa) Hull of Fairborn, Ohio; Molly Adams of Oakland, California; Annick Adams in Europe, Leslie Erwin and Kelli Parkison of Springfield, a number of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, a nephew , Raymond P. Casey, two nieces, Tracey Northern, Rae Jeanne Sparrow, one aunt, Ernestine Gentry, a special cousin Elsie Richardson, a special friends Evita Gilbert and many cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Keith Adams, two daughters Gloria Hull and Joanne Adams, her first husband Russell Adams and her second husband, John Phillips.
