Linda Mae Johnson-Portis, 73, of Peoria , Arizona and formerly of Springfield, Ohio passed away Friday, October 24, 2025 in her residence.  She was born May 30, 1952 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of James C. and Lula (Morris) Johnson.

She worked in the health care field.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph "Sonny" Portis; daughter, Stephanie Johnson and a grandson, Princeston Thomas.  She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Felicia (Ron) Davis; son-in-law, Gregory Sutton Sr; her sister, Shirley Harper; two brothers, George (Bridget) Johnson and John S. Johnson; three grandchildren, Ashley (Corey)Miles, Latoya Johnson and Lauren Walden; ten great grandchildren and a special niece, Anyah Harris and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Linda moved to Peoria, Arizona in 2024 to reside with her loving daughter and son-in-law.

Her hobbies were card playing and gardening. She also loved to travel. We all know she loved all kids and babysitting was her favorite pastime.

Visitation is Friday, November 7, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 12:30 p.m. in Greater First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
