IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kimberly Ann
Brown
July 21, 1963 – July 6, 2025
Kimberly Ann Brown, July 21, 1963 – July 6, 2025, peacefully transitioned into the presence of the Lord on July 6, 2025, at Springfield Regional Medical Center.
From the moment Kimberly entered this world, she brought with her a spirit of joy, warmth, and undeniable love. From an early age, her nurturing spirit was clear. She carried that compassion into every role she held in life—daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and confidant. Kim always was eager to serve.
Kimberly loved children. She loved being called Mom by Aysha, Grandma and Aunt Kim. The Jones children knew her especially as Big Kim. It meant so much to her. Kim doted over them all. She treated each one as if they were her own. Whether it was a scraped knee, babysitting, a broken heart, or a reason to celebrate, Aunt Kim was always there—with a warm meal, a listening ear, and a smile that could light up any room. Kimberly had a heart given to hospitality. She loved cooking and serving her family and friends from her heart.
Kim leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. Kimberly is survived by sister, Keli, brothers, George and Ricky and her loving daughter, Aysha Thomas, and her precious grandchildren, Kelaiah, Kyleigh, Jamal Seagraves, Sandra, Amaya, and Demetrius Thomas Jr.; nieces, Regina Frazier and Trina Elliot Ragland; nephews, Reggie and Christopher Johnson and Dayquan Beal Ragland and a host of great nieces and nephews who she absolutely adored, cherished and spoiled. She also leaves to cherish her memory her devoted sister friends, Kathy Beal Awan and Carmen Threats
Kim was preceded in death by her mother, Cheryl Johnson, father, Richard Scott, brothers, Richard Calhoun, Reggie Ragland and nephew, Trent Elliot Ragland.
