Obituary

Joseph Andrew Page, 83, of Springfield, Ohio passed away quietly in his sleep Monday, December 29, 2025 in Southbrook Care Center.

Joe, as he was referred to by his family and friends, was born August 8, 1942 in Marvel, Alabama the son of Beverly and Margaret (Allen) Page. He served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.  Joseph was a self employed insurance agent.

Joe lived the life he wanted, as he wanted, being true to himself.  He spoke passionately about the things he cared about and was blunt and pointed with his words.  One thing about Joe, the people he loved and cared for knew it.  His best friend and confidant, Horace and companion, Birdie, were closet to him.

Over the last several months Joe and Edd spoke regularly, sharing stories of their childhood, laughing and discussing their lives.

Joseph is survived by his brother, Edward James Page; companion of 25+ years, Birdie Johnson and his children, Denise, Tony Joe, Bane, Tamiko, Oronde', Kennan and Michael.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Mary Allen; father, Beverly Bane Page and brother, Jesse Allen.

A Celebration of Life service will be Friday, January 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home. Joseph will be laid to rest in Dayton National Cemetery.
