Joe W. Parrish, 76, of Springfield, OH was born July 7, 1940 to the union of Charlie and Jennie (Webb) Parrish in Memphis, TN. He departed this life on October 1, 2016 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. Joe served his country in the US Air Force and received an honorable discharge. He returned to Memphis and moved to Springfield in 1988. He was a faithful member of the Greater First Baptist Church. Joe retired from Navistar International Harvester with 32 years of service. He was an avid pool player. To cherish his memory Joe leaves wife, Bennie, of 29 years; son, Calvin Parrish; daughter, Regina Parrish, both of Memphis, TN; stepsons, Tony Woods of Los Angeles, CA and Brent Woods of Springfield, OH; stepdaughter, Natalie Woods of Toledo, OH; brother, Marvin Parrish of Memphis, TN; sisters, Annie M. Clark, Daisy Hunter and Delza Haraway all of Memphis, TN; sister in laws, Ella L. Frazier and Irene Jeffrey both of Des Moines, IA and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charlie, Jr., Alex and Clarence; sisters, Jettie M. Zuber, Jeraline Partee and Corine Fairly and brother in law, Harold Stille.
