Jessie Mae Brigham, 83, passed away at 5:55 AM Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Essex of Springfield Nursing Home, in Springfield, Ohio. Mrs. Brigham was born May 10, 1933 in Wedowee, Alabama. She was daughter of Willie and Stella (Poole) Davenport. Always a woman of grace, kindness, and generosity, Mrs. Brigham dedicated her life to loving and nurturing her husband and family. Additionally, she worked over 20 years at the I.O.O.F Nursing Home, in Springfield. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Gloria Davenport, Jackie (James) Powers, Phillip Borden, Gale (Jeff) Marshall, Vincent Borden Brigham, Chester Brigham III, Sharon (Bruce) Crossley, Mark Anthony Brigham, a great number of loving grandchildren, and great grandchildren; her sisters Catherine (Fred) McCoy of Chattanooga, TN, and Mary Davenport of Columbus, OH; many adoring nieces, nephews and cousins; also, special friends, Mildred January and Dean Kenerly, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester Everette Brigham, Jr.; brothers, John Davenport, William "Bill" Davenport, Sr. and Felton Davenport, Sr.; and sister, Gertrude Watkins.
