Jeffrey L. Beavers, 57, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully October 5, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. Jeff was born March 28, 1961 in Springfield, Ohio. His life centered on loving and caring for his family. He particularly enjoyed being his grandchildren's special "Paw-Paw". Jeff leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Christine Beavers; daughter, Nocona "Nikki" January; son, Jeffrey Stewart; brother, Lawrence Beavers Jr. (Rasheedah); sisters, Kevena Williams and Lori Searcy (Malcolm); father, Lawrence Beavers (Stella); grandchildren, Christopher and Cabria Crochran, C.J. McDavid, III, Na'lijah January, Ke'Ontray Franklin, and Harlem, Brooklyn, J'Ontray, and Queens Stewart; great-grandson, Nicholas Crochran; uncles, Aquilla "Buddy" and Charles Portis; aunts, Estella Lewis, Cheryl Portis and Marcia Walls; special cousins, Shalyne Portis-Lockett, Jaryld and Zackene Portis and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Beavers was preceded in death by his mother, Coretia and brother, Kevin Beavers; grandparents, Bruce Oliver and Dorothy Walls, step-grandfather, Bishop Lawyer Walls and uncle, Adolphus "June" Portis. Visitation is Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. in the House of Prayer. Burial will be immediately following in Ferncliff Cemetery.
