Jasmine Nicole Fultz was born in Springfield, Ohio on August 31, 1990 to Ericka Nicole Borden and Dennis Edward Fultz at Community Hospital. Jasmine was beautiful, smart, tough, and sassy. Her personality was truly "larger than life." She had a mischievous sense of humor and a laugh that was infectious.
Jasmine was kind hearted and she loved helping others. She sacrificed and dedicated all she had to give in order to care for her family. Jasmine was indeed her mother's helper and keeper. After some extremely trying times, she became her mother's hands, eyes, arms, legs and feet whenever needed.
Her nurturing spirit was exemplified through the immense love she demonstrated for her younger brother, Jayden. She began caring for him from the day he was born. She assisted her mom and made sure he got up in the mornings, got dressed, ate breakfast and made it to school on time. Sometimes this caused her to be tardy for school herself. She was without a doubt Jayden's biggest supporter and #1 fan. Jasmine was so much more than a big sister to him. She consistently supported him and encouraged him to pursue his education and his dreams of playing collegiate sports. Jasmine and Jayden shared a special and unbreakable bond. They were each other's best friend.
At a very early age, Jasmine professed her faith in Christ at the St. John Baptist Church in Springfield, Ohio. She attended Sunday school and bible study faithfully with her mother and her aunts. She thoroughly enjoyed attending the Awana program, where her dream was born. Jasmine's life goal was to work with children. She prayed that one day she could become a teacher. This goal has been achieved now that she has been called home to be with her Savior. Jasmine has tirelessly and unselfishly never asking nor expecting anything in return.
Jasmine attended Springfield Public Schools: Emerson Elementary, Schaefer Middle and South High. She ran track, played softball, and especially enjoyed her time on the drill team as one of "Debbie's Tough Steppers". Following high school, she received her Life Skills Certification and became a Nursing Assistant.
Loved ones that have made their heavenly transition and cleared the path for Jasmine are her Great-Grandparents Betty and Robert Posey, Fred Ellsworth Borden III, Delbert and Beverly Stilgess; El-wood and Lillian "Bones" Hardnick. Grandmother Patricia Fultz
and Grandfather George Fultz, Uncles David and Richard Fultz and a host of great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.
Jasmine's memory will be cherished by her parents, maternal Grandparents; Fred E. Borden, IV and Michele Borden, Brothers; Jayden Ellsworth Borden, Jalen , Dante', Christopher, Dennis Jr., Kingston, Dezmen and Tarrin Fultz, Sisters; Ashley and Zonteaya Fultz, Great, Great Aunts; Patricia J. It would be impossible to honor each of the special friendships Jasmine made during her lifetime. She stood in the gap for many children as their Auntie and Godmother, giving selflessly of her time to be someone they could count on for love and support.
