Irmajean Stone was born on May 22, 1938. She was the only child born to Rev. Gerald P. and Carnara R. Morgan. She graduated from Springfield South High School in 1956. She met through her close friends and married John R. Stone, Jr. They had one child, Lisa Denise Stone (Riddle).
Irmajean became employed as an admin to several officers at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and worked there for 3 decades. She then retired and worked for several years as the admin for a real estate office. Then she became the administrator for Opportunity Gardens where several residents have stated that she was the best and most conscientious person who provided excellent care and services to the building residents.
Irmajean loved everything about Springfield, Ohio. She was a proud member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church for most of her life from childhood. She actively participated in Bible Study and she was a greeting hostess. In addition to her professional career, Irmajean was an avid reader. She also loves to listen to music. She was a member of several organizations and clubs: Springfield Retirement Set, The Elks Club, American Business Women's Association (ABWA) – Polaris Chapter, United Senior Services, and the Red Hat Organization.
In addition to being survived by her daughter, Lisa, she leaves her beloved dedicated son-in-law, George H. Riddle. She has 5 grandchildren: Corey R. Riddle, Courtney (Ivan) GD Dixon, Cendall (Mesha) D. Riddle, Cameron E. Riddle and Christina K. Riddle. She has 5 great-grandchildren. She had a host of cherished cousins with special note of Raymond (Patricia) Casey, Sherri Gaines (deceased), Toby Gentry, Patty (John) Gentry-Young and Deborah Woods. She also leaves special friends Gloria Bowens, Charlene Swain, Dorothy Booker, and Dorothy Crowley.
Visitation is Friday, August 8, 2025 in St. John Missionary Baptist Church from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, Ohio.
