Ira Michael Powell, 61, of Springfield, Ohio passed away October 22, 2018. He was born May 9, 1957 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Hosea and Maggie Kay (Lee) Powell. Ira had been employed at Valco Industries. Ira is survived by his loving family including his daughters, Brandi Powell, Christina Oiler, Merissa Slone and Brooke Fraker; brothers, Richard (Betty Jo) Phillips, William Powell, Robert (Pat) Powell, Bret (Carla) Woods and twin brother, Ivan (Beverly) Powell. Ira also leaves to cherish his memory 8 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mae K. Baker, Barbara Robinson and Emma Johnson; brothers, Fred Powell, Hosea Powell Jr., Jimmy Powell and George Powell. Visitation is Monday, October 29, 2018 from 12 noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. In New Life of Springfield Church. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
