Mrs. Ida Mae McConnell, 83, passed away January 7, 2017. She was born to the late Julius, Sr. and Lucille (Carter) Boyd on December 20, 1933. Ida was a great cook. She loved cooking and loved her family. She attended Restored Life Ministries Church. Ida Mae leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Nathaniel Washington and Phillip Edward Washington; daughters, Theresa Ann Ellison and Marie (Charles) Palmer; brother, Julius Boyd, Jr.; sister, Elizabeth Boyd; grandchildren, Dominique' Latris Washington, Kameron LaChelle Washington, Derrick Nathaniel Palmer, Jordan Edward Palmer and Daryl Eugene Palmer; great grandchildren, Jaylen Kameron Mitchell, JaNai Maya Marie Mitchell, Dominique Justin Bruce Mitchell, Paige Kyrielle Whited, Madison Marie Palmer and MaKalia Dominique Marie Lawson; special nephews, Toby and Arthur Brown; many special friends including Ruby Washington and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward McConnell; son, Bruce Eric Washington; sister and brother in law, Dorothy and Frank Harris.
