Gordon M. McClarty Jr., 41, of Springfield, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 29, 2017. He was born on September 24, 1975 in Franklin, Louisiana a son of Gordon M. McClarty and Marjorie M. (Nolan) McClarty. Gordon was the eldest of 6 children. Gordon was a graduate of Springfield North High School and was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church of Springfield, Ohio. Gordon made sacrifices for his family and friends, including staying behind to take care of his mother when she had several ailments. He would often put others before himself and was very modest about his efforts in everything he did. Gordon leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Marjorie M. (Nolan) McClarty; father, Gordon M. (Linda) McClarty, Sr.; 8 siblings, Karmen McClarty, Roderick (Sukanya) McClarty, Nichiren McClarty (Eddie) Blevins, Belinda Kemp, Lawrence (Katie) Kemp, Willie Morales, Kadish Corley & Vladimir McClarty; God Parents Pastor James H. Gavin & Frances Gavin (Aunt as well); Special friends close to his heart, Gerald "Tommy" Hughey, Willie Garcia, Quetzal & Maria Mestiza that loved & understood him for who he was along with a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, who he was a splendid role model to. Gordon didn't leave behind any children, but he will always and forever be remembered as a great person. Words cannot describe how deeply he will be missed. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday June 9th at 1:00 p.m. at Traci's Touch 195 Leffel Lane, Springfield, Ohio 45505. Visitation will be at 11:00 until the time of service which will be at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor James H. Gavin officiating.
