George B. Applin III, 44, of Springfield, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.  He was born December 2, 1979, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Joseph B. Hocker and Sherry Lynn Applin.

George spent most of his life between Columbus and Springfield, Ohio.  He loved making music, basketball and had recently become interested in gardening.  George would do anything for his friends and family, fiercely.  He like to make sure everyone knew that he was from Pleasant Street.  He made everyone that knew him laugh, cry or curse his name at the stories he told.

George is survived by his fiancée, Regina Long; his parents, Sherry Lynn Applin and Joseph Bryant and Eva Hocker; his daughter, Georgia Applin; stepbrothers, DeVon Roberts and Jaques Hocker; grandmother, Rose Ann Applin and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation is Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
